You made it through every round. The conversation felt right, the feedback felt genuine, and then nothing. No email, no call, no closure.
Being ghosted after a final interview is one of the more common complaints in Real Estate hiring right now, and it says far more about the business than it does about you. A business that cannot manage a simple rejection is telling you something about how it manages the harder conversations too, the ones about performance, about workload, about change. If they cannot close the loop with a candidate, it is worth asking how they close the loop with their own people.
That does not make it hurt less. Investing time into interviews, preparing for each stage, and hearing nothing back is a genuinely frustrating experience, and you are allowed to feel that.
What it should not do is make you assume the problem was you. Silence after a final interview is almost always about internal delay, a change in plans, or a business that has not built proper process around candidate communication. It is rarely a reflection of your interview.
If you experience it, follow up once, professionally, and then let it go. It is not a reflection of your worth, it is a reflection of theirs.
The businesses worth working for are the ones who treat a no the same way they treat a yes, with respect and with communication.
