“It’s exciting and rewarding and you get to change people’s lives as you help them from one chapter to the next. What we do is pretty cool.”

In the morning I'm setting up proposals and getting signed agency agreements back so that we can progress with deals and troubleshooting challenges that are coming up right before settlement and random bits and pieces. Talking on the phone is a big part of what we do and it’s the best job in the world.”

Having support from the Directors of the business has helped Kiki to achieve her career goals and credits having leaders who are progressive and accommodating to new ideas as apart of her success.

“They want to be better and work towards bigger things but in an authentic and the right way, ethical way. Be authentic and you will attract your people.”

Kiki’s advice for early career professionals and those wanting to get into real estate is to be clear about what the industry is and the pathways that you want to achieve in your career.

“It's a lot harder that you think, but be prepared to work hard, be humble and do the right thing and it can be so rewarding. Also, start in a space where you want to end up.”

Maintaining good mental heal this key in the industry and Kiki credits a healthy body, healthy mind focus and reaching out for support to professionals when she needs it, rather than let the grind get on top of her.

“Don't work yourself to death. There's a lot of pride in the industry about not taking time off. I think it’s important to take some time and reset and refocus which will make you more productive.”

Kiki’s top tips for buyers and sellers in the real estate market?

“Listen to the market, it’s not what it was in 2021. If you are selling, be more fluid to selling and if you are buying, don’t let perfect get in the way of good. Just get in the market.”

Her sage advice for those who want to flourish and achieve success in the industry;

“No one is going to win every piece of business, but you will attract who you are meant to. Do the right thing, learn your craft and success will come.”
